Description :
Nurofen 200 mg is a medication containing ibuprofen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that effectively relieves mild to moderate pain, fever, and inflammation. It is recommended for many common pain conditions, including headaches, muscle aches, and period pain.

Dosage:

Adults and children over 20 kg (approximately 6 years old) :
1 200 mg tablet per dose, to be repeated if necessary after 6 to 8 hours.
Do not exceed 3 to 4 tablets (600 to 800 mg) per day without medical advice. -
To be taken orally , with a large glass of water, preferably at mealtimes.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or to any of the excipients

Current or recurring peptic ulcer

Digestive hemorrhages

Severe liver, kidney or heart failure

Pregnancy from the 6th month

Children under 6 years old (or < 20 kg)
Precautions for use:

Do not combine with other NSAIDs, including aspirin

Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible duration

Seek medical advice in case of background treatment, hypertension, asthma or cardiovascular diseases
Possible side effects:

Abdominal pain, heartburn, nausea

Allergic skin reactions: hives, rash

Very rarely: severe digestive disorders (ulcers, hemorrhages), kidney or liver disorders, serious skin reactions

Pharmacist's advice:
Nurofen 200 mg is well tolerated when taken with or after a meal. It is recommended as a first-line treatment for occasional pain. Do not exceed 3 days of treatment for fever or 5 days for pain without medical advice.
