Ibuprofen SDC 400 mg – 15 film-coated tablets

Active ingredient: Ibuprofen 400 mg
**Description :
Ibuprofen SDC 400 mg** is a medication belonging to the family of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) . It is used for the short-term treatment of pain and fever. It works by blocking the production of prostaglandins, substances responsible for pain, inflammation and fever.
Indications:
Short-term symptomatic treatment:

Mild to moderate pain (headache, toothache, muscle pain)
-
Painful periods
-
Feverish states
-
Joint and rheumatic pain
Dosage:
-
Adults and adolescents from 12 years old (≥ 40 kg) :
1 tablet (400 mg) per dose, to be repeated if necessary after 6 to 8 hours.
Do not exceed 3 tablets (1200 mg) per 24 hours. -
Swallow with a large glass of water, preferably during meals to limit digestive problems.
Contraindications:

Allergy to ibuprofen or another NSAID

History of stomach ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding

Severe liver, kidney or heart failure
-
Pregnancy from the 6th month

Children under 12 years old
Precautions for use:

Always use the lowest effective dose , for the shortest possible duration.

Avoid combination with other NSAIDs (aspirin, ketoprofen, etc.)

Caution in case of asthma, high blood pressure, or anticoagulant treatment

Ask your pharmacist or doctor for advice if you are taking a long-term treatment.
Possible side effects:

Digestive disorders (nausea, abdominal pain, heartburn)

Allergic skin reactions (rash, hives)

Headache, dizziness

Rarely: digestive ulcers or hemorrhages, renal failure

Very rarely: severe skin reactions (Stevens-Johnson syndrome)
