**Description :

Ibuprofen SDC 400 mg** is a medication belonging to the family of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) . It is used for the short-term treatment of pain and fever. It works by blocking the production of prostaglandins, substances responsible for pain, inflammation and fever.

Indications:

Short-term symptomatic treatment:

• Mild to moderate pain (headache, toothache, muscle pain)

• Painful periods

• Feverish states

• Joint and rheumatic pain

Dosage:

• Adults and adolescents from 12 years old (≥ 40 kg) :
  1 tablet (400 mg) per dose, to be repeated if necessary after 6 to 8 hours.
  Do not exceed 3 tablets (1200 mg) per 24 hours.

• Swallow with a large glass of water, preferably during meals to limit digestive problems.

Contraindications:

• Allergy to ibuprofen or another NSAID

• History of stomach ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding

• Severe liver, kidney or heart failure

• Pregnancy from the 6th month

• Children under 12 years old

Precautions for use:

• Always use the lowest effective dose , for the shortest possible duration.

• Avoid combination with other NSAIDs (aspirin, ketoprofen, etc.)

• Caution in case of asthma, high blood pressure, or anticoagulant treatment

• Ask your pharmacist or doctor for advice if you are taking a long-term treatment.

• Digestive disorders (nausea, abdominal pain, heartburn)

• Allergic skin reactions (rash, hives)

• Headache, dizziness

• Rarely: digestive ulcers or hemorrhages, renal failure
