The other excipients of Donormyl are: Lactose monohydrate, croscarmellose sodium, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, macrogol 6000, colorant dispersion (hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E171), propylene glycol (E1520), purified water).

What is the dosage of doxylamine Donormyl 15 mg?

Donormyl 15 mg is a medicine reserved for adults which is taken orally, to be swallowed with a little water.

It is recommended to take 1/2 to 1 scored film-coated tablet per day. In adults, the dosage can be increased to 2 tablets per day if necessary. However, in the elderly, and in cases of renal or hepatic impairment, it is recommended to take the lower dosage.

Donormyl tablets should be taken in the evening, preferably 15 to 30 minutes before going to bed.
As this medication is indicated for occasional insomnia, treatment should last between 2 and 5 days maximum. It is not recommended to exceed 5 days of treatment without prior advice from your doctor.

Precautions for use of Donormyl 15 mg

Since Donormyl contains doxylamine, an antihistamine, it should not be used if you are allergic to antihistamines. Furthermore, it should not be combined with other medications containing this molecule in order to respect the maximum recommended doses.

Donormyl should not be used in combination with another H1 antihistamine or with other medications that cause drowsiness and therefore a risk of falls. It should be used with caution in the elderly. Taking Donormyl may expose you to side effects such as daytime drowsiness, constipation, and visual disturbances: for more information, refer to the medication leaflet.

Donormyl pregnancy and breastfeeding

Donormyl can be used during pregnancy, however, it is recommended to consult your doctor before use. If you are breastfeeding, this medication is not recommended, as it may pass into breast milk.
