Dalfeine – 16 tablets
Therapeutic class: Analgesic – combination of analgesics (paracetamol + caffeine)
Active ingredients: Paracetamol 500 mg + Caffeine 65 mg
Description :
Dalfeine is a drug that combines paracetamol , a well-known analgesic and antipyretic, and caffeine , which potentiates the effect of paracetamol for faster and more effective pain relief . It is indicated for the treatment of moderate pain, particularly headaches resistant to paracetamol alone.
Indications:
Short-term treatment for moderate pain:

Headaches, including migraines

Toothache
-
Muscle pain
-
Painful periods
-
Fever (in addition to medical advice)
Dosage:
-
Adults and adolescents over 50 kg (from 15 years old) :
1 to 2 tablets per dose, respecting a minimum interval of 4 hours between each dose.
Do not exceed 6 tablets (or 3 g of paracetamol) per 24 hours. -
To be taken orally, with a large glass of water.

Maximum duration without medical advice :

Pain : 5 days

Fever : 3 days

Contraindications:

Allergy to paracetamol, caffeine or any of the excipients

Severe liver disease

Severe renal failure
-
Pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice

Children under 15 years old
Precautions for use:

Beware of paracetamol overdose : check that you are not taking any other medication containing paracetamol.

Avoid caffeinated drinks (excess caffeine = risk of side effects)

Precautions in case of chronic alcohol consumption, liver disorders or malnutrition
Possible side effects:

Nausea, abdominal pain

Insomnia, nervousness (related to caffeine)

Skin rash, hives (rare)

Very rarely: liver toxicity in case of overdose

Dalfeine is particularly useful for headaches that are resistant to paracetamol alone , especially if there is associated fatigue or drowsiness. Respect the maximum doses and limit the consumption of coffee or energy drinks during treatment. Do not use for prolonged periods without medical advice.
